Central Asia is one of the last great overland adventures: the Pamir Highway at over 4,600 m, a night beside the burning Darvaza crater, horse treks over Kyrgyz passes, the 4×4 crossing of the Ustyurt plateau to the Aral Sea.
Adventure here does not have to mean hardship. We balance remote days with comfortable stays and plan carefully for altitude, distance and season.
