Kaindy Lake

Spruce trunks rising from turquoise water.

Kaindy Lake formed after the 1911 Kemin earthquake set off a landslide that dammed a valley. The spruce trees that stood there were drowned, and their bare trunks still rise out of the cold, clear water.

It is reached by a rough track from Saty, usually by 4×4, followed by a short walk.
