Ala Archa National Park

Alpine gorge, juniper forest and glacier views an hour from Bishkek.

Ala Archa is a steep alpine gorge in the Kyrgyz Range, about 40 km south of Bishkek. Paths follow the river through juniper forest, with snow peaks rising above.

It suits everyone from casual walkers to climbers: an hour’s stroll along the valley, a half-day hike to the Ak-Sai waterfall, or a long day up to the glacier.
